Behold the Beauty of the Lord

 

One thing I ask from the LORD, this only do I seek: that I may dwell in the house of the LORD all the days of my life, to gaze on the beauty of the LORD and to seek him in his temple. -Psalm 24:7

When darkness surrounds me, You are the Light that guides my way.

You are the Sun in my days and the glory of my heart.

You are beautiful beyond description; there are no words to articulate Your beauty.

O Majestic Lord how great You are. That You would consider a sinner like me to shed blood for, to speak to, to love, to help, to give life to and to make communion with.

Great are You my King. There is absolutely nothing and no being that could ever compare to You.

I adore You Jesus; You are my magnificent all in all!

 

Authentic Joy

Life can be such a battle at times. We are in constant fight for peace and sanity. There are so many beautiful things around us and sometimes our mind chooses to see what causes us pain over joy.

Maybe it’s because pain feels drastically different from joy. Pain aches your soul while joy lifts it. Pain pierces the heart while joy replenishes it. Pain fills us with agony while joy restores our hope. Pain leaves us broken, while joy makes us whole. As I reflect on the effects of pain versus joy I now see so clearly why the enemy uses pain to hold us in captivity. I see how he uses it to influence our minds so much that pain sometimes affects us greater than joy.

But pain is not from God; joy is! God did not create us for pain; He created us to be filled with joy! But what is the root of joy? Where is it found? I truly believe with all my heart that true joy is found at the feet of Jesus Christ. At the foot of the cross. Joy is found on our knees when we intimately connect with the true Restorer of hope, life, redemption, and joy; true eternal joy is found in Jesus Christ alone. Through Christ we experience authentic abundant joy that defeats the pains of this world. Through Christ the agony, the depression, the captivity, and the piercing hurt from pain is broken and it no longer holds us.

So the next time you face a situation that causes pain, know that you have a choice and I pray that despite the weakness you may feel, that you choose joy!

 

The Word Of God

…and the Word was God!

…Before anything ever existed was the Word of God. This same Word became flesh and dwelt among mankind on the earth. This same Word is so powerful to have spoken our world into existence. The bible describes the Word as the most powerful weapon against our battles! It is sharper than a double edged sword, yet the most soothing medicine for a broken soul.

In the Word there is power! Power to change anyone and any circumstance. The Word of God stands the test of all time and is the number one selling book of all time!

In this book prisoners find hope, the broken-hearted find strength, a sinner finds forgiveness, and mankind finds hope and eternal life in a Merciful, Gracious Saviour, Jesus Christ! God meets us in His Word because He is the Word and nothing is more powerful than this! Amen !

Christ, our Caretaker

Christ is our Caretaker.

He carefully removes the things in our lives that are blocking us from bearing good fruits; this allows the good things to be clean so it can produce more good fruit.

Sometimes it could be a person, an object, or a material item. Whatever it is, allow God to take care of you, He has your best interest at heart and loves you dearly more than you could ever imagine. We may not understand why these things or people are being removed at the time, but God sees the big picture. Trust Him!

If Not For Grace…

If not for grace where would I be?

Possibly broken, lost, living in poverty, worshiping idols, captivated by the world, hopeless, weak, depressed, and lost! Yet God, by His sufficiently beautiful Grace heartfully thought of us, His precious creation, and bestowed on us His unmerited favour through His Precious Son, Jesus Christ; the greatest gift of Grace in all of time!

Christ redeems our souls and offers a peace that surpasses all understanding. The hope that is within Him is like no other. You may search all the earth for answers and peace and joy and salvation and wisdom and hope, but it is only in Jesus Christ that it will ever be sufficient enough.

“For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God— 9 not by works, so that no one can boast.” -Ephesians 2:8-9.
